Sustainable Practices Program
29 de agosto, 2025
About a year ago, Colorfix began implementing its Sustainable Practices Program (PPS), inspired by the concepts of 5S – Seiri/Sorting; Seiton/Organization; Seiso/Cleaning; Seiketsu/Standardization; and Shitsuke/Discipline—a Japanese methodology that aims to improve productivity, reduce waste, and create a safer and more pleasant work environment.
The implementation was gradual, with the application of one “S” at a time, allowing everyone to adapt to the concepts. To strengthen understanding, training sessions were held with managers and representatives from all teams, generating questions, ideas, and constructive debates that enriched the project.
To encourage engagement, teams were formed with creative names:
• ADM CLEAN (ATEC; CIC; Reception and Marketing)
• FIVE LEADERS (Extrusion)
• ORGANIZATION (Purchasing; Shipping; PCP; Warehouse and Billing)
• THE 5 OF S (SGI)
• P E O (LPP)
• PRATIQUE COLOR (HR; Occupational Safety; Janitorial; Gatehouse)
• SQUAD 5S (LDS)
• THE FIVES (LCQ)
• TIME 5S EM AÇÃO (Maintenance)
• TIME DA ORDEM (Finance; IT)
In 2024, audits were conducted every two months, following the implementation phase. In 2025, they became quarterly, focusing on maintenance and continuous improvement. “These audits assess each team's compliance and areas for improvement. Scores are assigned according to three criteria: Compliant, Non-Compliant, and Partial. At the end of each cycle, the team with the highest score receives the PPS Trophy (physical) in recognition of their commitment and excellence," explains Colorfix Integrated Management Analyst Priscila Bieniek Mesquita.
According to her, the program also offers a financial incentive: it integrates the percentage of the Profit Sharing Program (PPR) into the audits, representing 40% of the total weight in this category. “This reinforces the importance of everyone's involvement and dedication to maintaining standards and constantly seeking improvements,” says Priscila.
Check out the results achieved with the PPS:
1. Efficiency and productivity – Reduction in time spent searching for tools, parts, and documents, with a more agile workflow.
2. Waste reduction – Fewer unused materials taking up space and less rework.
3. Workplace safety – More organized environments, with less risk of accidents and better circulation.
4. Quality – Less chance of defects and contamination, with clear and defined standards.
5. Space utilization – Optimized inventories and free areas for productive use.
6. Organizational climate – A more pleasant, motivating environment with a greater sense of belonging.
7. Basis for continuous improvement – Strengthening of other quality programs such as ISO 9001.
“PPS demonstrates that small changes in habits, when applied continuously and in an organized manner, generate great results. At Colorfix, this initiative not only improved processes and spaces, but also strengthened the culture of discipline, cooperation, and care for the work environment," Priscila emphasizes.

“But PPS is not just about winning. It is about engagement, collaboration, and creativity to continuously improve our work environment. Every idea counts. Whether it is to better organize the space, avoid waste, increase safety, or facilitate processes, your participation is essential,” comments Priscila.
